A little bit of bitter

This song came out of a particularly tough breakup mid 2022. The riff was something I wanted to do for a long time, obviously Marcos Valle inspired but also the Walter Wanderley organ versions of Valle's songs and for a long time I couldn’t think of a lyric for it. Then one day the whole thing came into my head whilst I was walking in the park (as it always seems to do). I recorded the words on my phone and then rushed home to record the vocal track.

For a time I thought it was a bit too full-on with the poison inflected lyrics, but time passes, all things heal and I really love the vibe of the song, especially the ‘broken’ Fender Rhodes rhythmic clicking.
