In the second day of lockdown in Lisbon, mid March 2020 I was walking into my shower at home when an impulse stopped me, made me grab my go to knockabout guitar and I sat down and wrote this song and the lyrics in real time. I made a quick demo in the following days and then sent it to Kassin. We had recorded 9 tracks at Studio Namouche in February so we thought a round 10 would be good. Everyone was still pretty shell shocked at the idea of lockdown so Kassin rebuilt the demo and sent it around to the guys.
First Macio in Warsaw recorded the drums, then Alberto in the mountains outside Rio recorded bass, then Kassin in Rio recorded the heavy and dirty guitars which lead Piotr to add some wild and dirty keys. Finally it went off to supreme trombonist Marlon Sette to add some New Orleans style wah-wah trombone.
This is the first and only track we've made without the band being in the same room recording in real time but it was a great experience and helped everyone settle down in the new world order of no live music, no studio gigs and general disturbance that has characterised 2020.
